These are even more awesome in real life and she managed to find some perfect bird shots.

Inspired by Scifigrl47’s Spectacularly Amazing Toasterverse, featuring Calcifer, the sentient toaster, innumerable flying Roombas, and Dummy and the other bots.
I don’t know if this has been done before, but the idea was stuck in my head, so I decided to go for it.

Dummy considers the rest of them to be minions. This is not a view shared by any of the others, but Tony lets him think he has pets. SO MANY PETS. 8)
Because I have so many Tony-feels I needed to draw something.
This pic was actually inspired by Scifigrl47s fic “Dating the long way”.Some parts of IM3 reminded me of this great fic :)

Ok I’m pretty proud of this. I had this general image in my head since some of the early chapters of scifigrl47’s fic, “Hollow Your Bones Like a Bird’s”, but I had to wait for her to finish the fic to find out all of the birds that would be in the lineup. Each one of the birds represents someone on the team. I’ll leave you to read the fic to find out which is which and why. And yes, this is an image from a fic by the same author as the last Avengers fanart I did (the one with Steve in a suit that I hated, not the cheesecake Tony/Steve cuddles one.) Scifigrl’s fic does stuff to me (in the case of this fic, mostly make me cry).

Clint, baby, you’re not going to win this. The fact that you’re TRYING to win this is a sign of insanity. The toaster will mangle your food and then light it on fire, and Tony will cackle while it happens, so let’s not pretend you’re going to get any help from that particular source.

This is a papercutting I made for Scifigrl47 and her wonderful story “Hollow Your Bones Like A Bird’s“ Which you should all go and read, because it damn near broke my heart in all the best ways.
(Actually, you should read ALL of her stories. They are all fantastic. And it’s her fault that I have ALL THE BOT FEELS, and my Avengers headcanon now includes sentient roombas :p)
I don’t want to say too much and spoil any of the story for you, but this bird is a Great Grey Shrike, Lanius excubitor (it means “sentinel butcher”, and is sometimes referred to as a butcher bird) she appears at one point in the story, and I absolutely love how and why, and what she represents.The papercutting measures around 6.5 inches corner to corner, so it’s pretty small. I’m really proud of how it turned out since I’ve never made one with layers like this before :) Unfortunately I have a crappy, crappy camera, and this is the best picture I could get, so the colour is a bit wonky. In person the red is darker and less OMGRED.

After all of the heart-wrenching and inspiring moments this fic has had to offer so far, I was surprised when the thing that actually got me to draw was such a small line. What it prompted was… more a feeling than anything, I guess.

And this is the perfect, perfect, PERFECT illustration of that. 8)
I would just like to register that this is on the internet due to peer pressure. I am aware that the proportions are very very off and the color is slapdash and I can’t even account for what happened to the line quality. Clearly, digital linework is something I haven’t mastered yet.
But, it does still at least amuse the hell out of me, so here you go. It goes with a fic by scifigrl47 called Dating the Long Way Around, and how could I resist Spiderman in an oversized Thor hoodie?
No one can resist Spidey in an oversized Thor hoodie. He is adorable and needs all the hugs and he really, really likes the fact that he’s not doing this alone. So. Very. Glad.
You know that Tony’s going to buy one of those hoodies and wear it around the tower and Steve will put up with it. And kind of like it.
After sleeping at 5 am yesterday rushing another deadline, apparently my idea of decompressing is to draw Avengers fanart - can you tell that I do not have the colour grey in that box of pencils I just bought? I got really lazy colouring… I should really sleep.. For folks who do not want Avengers showing up on dash, please do blacklist “inkedjet flails over marvel”
Inspired by scifigrl47’s Avengers fic universe - the one piece of writing that was so good that I finally caved and dipped my toes into Marvel-dom. Don’t ask me why Thor though. I just wanted to draw Thor and Calcifer.
It is because both Thor and Calcifer are awesome. And also because Thor really likes the toaster. The toaster has the fiery heart of a warrior!
I haven’t drawn in years… and it is almost horrifying that the first thing I decided to draw in nearly a decade is not from Tolkien… but scifigrl47 did say she would take bribery. I am all for bribery.
